Stirrup-jar mended of two fragments and restored. It was found in 1964 in well Στ on the south slope of the Acropolis, in the area where the Stoa of Eumenes was later built.

Part of the body, as well as all of its handles have survived. It has three vertical handles attached to the false neck and a pouring spout on the shoulder. The exterior is adorned with a sea-life subject: an octopus swims with its tentacles stretched across the pot’s surface. The false neck is painted black as is the pouring spout on the side.

The pot belongs to the Marine Style pottery.
